I love a good pretend lovers that become something more romance. In this book, both of the characters were incredibly well-developed and fun to see interact. When they decided to practice dating with each other, I thought I could predict the entire rest of the plot. I was wrong. The author took a conventional trope and played around with it.

My one issue for this book is that it's being marketed as young adult. I think both the age of the characters and the content of the book fits better as a new adult text. I read this book to see if I would want it in my high school classroom, and I don't think it's appropriate or as relevant to younger audiences.

Overall, I thought this book was fun and adorably romantic. I hope that those looking for a new romance novel to read give this book a chance. The writing is incredible from the characters to the plot.
