This was adorable! So sweet I wanted to cry. I have a soft spot for the fake dating trope and this one stole my heart. The cover is a great illustration for the both of them and it really helped me picture what they looked like.
I loved Bethany & Jake together so much. Jake was so perfect I wanted to date him myself! He was open, honest, & a really good listener. And he actually liked Bethany for who she was. It was so adorably frustrating to see them dance around each other. You could tell how into each other they were and I wanted to scream and shake them. Everyone in this book was so open and accepting and I loved all the representation in it.
Both sets of friends were great. I loved Bethany’s little girl/enby gang and Jake’s friends seemed really cool. Saylor seemed like the perfect friend. I needed one of those in high school for sure. I finished this one in a day and it’s definitely a new comfort read for sure.
