I like the relaxed language the book is written in which relaxes me as a reader and allows me to connect deeper to the book.
I also enjoy the diversity we seeing the book with Bethany as our main character, as a girl of color it's nice to see the rise of this books and on the topic of Bethany i love that she is proudly portrayed in the cover.
Also if I'm correct then you also show support for people with the pronouns they/them and while I don't personally identify as such I have friends that do and they talk to me about having representation in books, who also enjoy the genre, that I can't wait to recommend this too.
I also see LGBTQ representation! Go author you're killing it!
I also have interracial parent and its nice to see that in books, a lot of time the parents aren't really mentioned or are of the same race.
I enjoy double perspective so I can see both of these awkward teenagers figure it all out 😂😊
I like that despite the different situations of Bethany and Jacob we can see parallels between them.
I feel like, and this just may be me, whether platonic or romantic - that bethany and Jacob are the true match not because of the blur, because they can truly vibe together.
