Too many books for young girls seemed to be filled with situations, that encourage girls to be sexually active during their teen years, treating this casually and as if this is the norm. I like books that encourage both young girls and boys to have healthy, respectful relationships and interests in bettering themselves and others.
On a positive note, the author’s dialogue is lively and makes for quick reading. I’m sure there are young teen girls who will find the book interesting. I hope Bethany and Jacob grow and mature from their dating experiment. That might be a positive aspect to the book.
