An extremely strong first paragraph that really hooked me in! Bethany is an extremely likable heroine right off the bat, both confident and vulnerable. Since we open with her rejection it sets her up for rising like a pheonix and I'm already excited to see who she'll end up with (even in the blurb spoils it a bit...). Can't wait to read the rest!
