The first chapters set the tone of the book easily. It reads like a common YA novel, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I think this book will be a hit with younger audiences.
It does not captures the internal dialogue of a young adult well. It reads like a first draft of a self-insert. Hopefully the book improves in future chapters.
I like the addition of the subtitle under the original chapter title. I am unsure if this is a book readers who do not enjoy YA novels would read.
