I’m usually not a big romance fan and I’ve never read a regency book before but decided to read this kind of on a whim and I’m glad I did! It was pretty good! Definitely not life-changing or anything but sometimes reading a book that is simply enjoyable without challenging you can be nice too. I really liked the concept of this book. I kind of like the trope of having inherited money that you don’t really know how you were able to get. I just find it exciting and I liked that aspect of the book. I really liked the characters, how they were written and how their lives entwine. The romance was really quite good but I will say that the mystery was a slight let down, I’m sure it would pick up in later books though.
