I love how the book started right away with the interaction between Minerva and Chase instead of a lengthy explanation of the characters and why they were in the same room. I like that the information came in pieces as the story continued. It causes the reader to want to continue reading to discover what is going on. Like a mystery, trying to find clues. I love it! I also enjoy the writing and how it shows that the story is set in an older time, not modern times.
I think the cover is nice. It helps with the imagery that goes through my head when I try to picture the characters and what the scenes look like.
I can’t wait to find out the rest. There are so many questions in my head. What really happened to Minerva’s husband and why did she change her name? How did the late duke know her names? Why did he leave her so much money? I can’t wait to find out these answers and so much more!
