This felt like a standard romance novel. I wasn't immediately pulled into either character, and I'm not a fan of the old english style of dialog that was being presented. The mystery of why the duke left a large sum of money to a stranger, wasn't grand enough to bring me in much further. I'm guessing the strengths of this author, will be the romantic bits which will take more of the story to build. I'm not a huge fan of romance genres, so this first impression didn't really surprise me any. Not a book I would be interested in reading at this time.
