I want to give romance a chance, but I just don't think the genre is for me. Whenever I read a romance novel I just find myself not liking it. I liked the premise for this book and I'm a sucker for historical fiction, but I wan't a fan of the writing. That's honestly just my preference though. So many people like romance novels though, so don't take my word for it. I went into this book trying to like it and that's probably a major reason why it was a fail for me. I like the cover though.
