I am not much of a romance reader (especially not time period romances) but when it opened up with a possibly dead body, I was a little more optimistic. As I kept reading, it was clear that this is not the book for me. I didn't care for the writing style, it felt choppy and pedestrian. The cover would appeal directly to its market but it's a major turn off for me.
