I'm normally not a romance reader however I'm a huge fan of books, TV shows and movies that portray women as important and more prominent. Like in the case of this story where a woman is working as a detective in a time in history when this would most likely have been frowned upon by most of polite society. I'm anxious to see what happens with the two main characters too.
