Minerva is the unwitting recipient of a duke that died under mysterious circumstances. She doesn't know why, because she didn't know him. Chase, the nephew of the duke, wants to know why she was named an heir - and if his uncle's death was really an accident. And while the money's nice, Minerva wants to know the cause of the duke's death as well so she can make sure her own name doesn't resurface. It's a different take on a regency romance that's intriguing but could definitely do with less wooden dialogue.
