Hearts still beating was a disappointed. I love a good post apocalyptic romance /Young Adult story but this one didnt meet it.
I was very excited to start it but I'm not fond of lesbien love screens and sadly there was just to many for me to look past.
The AUTHORS writing style was not exactly what I usually enjoyed. I just could not get into the book. I could not connect with the characters at all. It did seem like the story just drug on and on and on. But answers where not answered.
The book had 2 main characters, one dead girl named Mara and the other named Rory who was her best friend and crush.
Mara became infected and turned into a tick,killing machine. She wishes she didn't commit as many sins as she did when she was alive but sadly now she has to live with it.
The government has created a some what cure that helps Mara go home to her God parents who are also Rorys parents.
