The intro went on a bit long and personal (although the ten types of hangry eaters was interesting and pulled it back away from the author) and I really liked the blend of research results supporting the author's work interspersed with anecdotal stories from her own life and patients' experiences. Frankly, knowing that the author is a mindful eating expert and still experiences hanger is kind of reassuring. On the one hand, part of me says the resolution is so simple, plan ahead and carry snacks, how does someone write a book about it, but on the other I know if it were so simple, why does it happen so often, including to experts? I'm inclined to read further and find out but not sure I'd buy it so much as refer to it as a library resource. I'd like to read at least one or two tips first before evaluating whether it's a keeper.

I love the cover, it is friendly and adorable in its simplicity expressing the idea of hunger anger.
