If you’re more of a fantasy reader or a smut reader I would appreciate it if you opened your mind and heart to this novel.
When I first began this novel (very much sick-it was the beginning of winter) it felt slow that seemed to lack plot. I had to start over.
Once I restarted in a good place where I can tell you - you as a reader will find your mind consumed on a journey of Amineh’s life. It starts with her life in college, when she marries, and you will find in the world she lives in the country Iran she is strong and has to be.
I learned more from this novel in the past two years than I have any other novel.
This novel begins in the 1970s and sets across a few decades of time to the 1990s. That’s to give you an idea of the time period. While American women were still fighting in the United States (history of a country I do know) Amineh had to live through the same time period but different circumstances.
Honestly in short just go read it.
