I was intrigued by this first impression. These chapters were set in the period before the big changes in Iran, and most of the characters were for change and thinking it would be a good, hopeful thing. It was poignant reading this and knowing how history played out.
I liked Amineh. She didn't seem to be as much as an activist as those around her. She was more on the quiet side. I'm interested to see how she is affected by the changes and what happens with the novel she wanted to write about her parents.
