The first thing that struck me about this book is the author's writing style. There is a lot of vague, rushed exposition at the beginning, and a lot of telling as opposed to showing. The story seems interesting, but I do with the opening pages weren't so much on an info dump. I would keep reading, as I think the plot and characters are intriguing enough, and the book does appear to discuss some really important themes, but I'm not 100% sold yet.m
