Historic Fiction Look at Iran Activism

This is not a book that I would typically pick up. I have almost zero background knowledge on 1970's Iran government or political activism. We start by meeting Amineh as she struggles to cope with her lack of role in activism like her friend Ava. We are then transported into a flashback of her grandmother's death. The writing is nice, but I feel a little more on the technical side. I don't think this book would be for me, but I'm sure it would be interesting for someone!
