I love reading First Looks at books like Half a Cup of Sand and Sky because they might never have crossed my bookish radar otherwise, and this one is set in a time and place that I would really like to learn more about. I could definitely see a young adult audience for this book, as the main characters are university-aged students themselves. The story hooked my interest, although I was not completely caught up in the writing style. I would definitely need to read more in order to booktalk this one, but I'm interested!
