1984 meets My Darling My Hamburger?

Seeing as though we are dealing with tyrannical governments today this book is very timely even though it takes place in 1977. If you love George Orwells 1984 this is slightly reminiscent of it. At first I thought it was going to be too woke and preachy for me but to my surprise it was the exact opposite. I'd definitely love to read more. At first I didn't like the cover, I thought it was a very oddly shaped and colored mountain but after closer inspection it really grew on me and I find it beautiful. Basically to sum this entire first impression up I'd say "it's nothing like you first expect it to be".
