This first look is heartbreaking and brought me back to May 2020 when my family was also struggling with an elderly member living his last days in hospice. My story differs as COVID was not the cause of death, but I relate to this author's pain as a proper goodbyes and funeral plans couldn't happen because of the pandemic.
