The beginning of this book is a beautifully written homage to a mother lost to COVID and the importance of documenting history and real-life accounts of how that monumental time impacted so many lives and changed the course of our history. This book highlights the importance of evolving our mindset toward aging parents and citizens and their societal values. These words feel like a call to action for us to do better, for us to look deeper at our elderly generation, and for us to share our stories from COVID so we can learn and grow from that memorable period.
