This story is very endearing and addresses so many topics with the main focus being on Cam who was formerly in the military. Cam has some tragic skeletons in his closet that he is forced to confront when he returns to his hometown.
I think it was brilliant for the author to have Cam a background in the military and to build so much of his world around a family tragedy by showing how that catalyst affected so many of his relationships. It was easy to build empathy for Cam as well as some other characters. The romantic aspect was pretty nice too.
The only reason that I did not give this 5 stars was because of the pacing being a bit slow in some places. Other than that, the book really is amazing and a great read.
