The first impression started in Chapter 3, which was a little odd, as I felt as if I was dropped into the story. However, the story did seem interesting. I read Yarros' other book (The Last Letter) and loved it. This sounds like it is in the same vein - someone in the military who lost someone they love and how do they get over it.
