I found it strange that the first impression wasn't actually from the beginning of the book and so this immediately made me feel disconnected from the story, which ended up being my overall feeling. This story isn't one I really relate to at all and the characters didn't really excite me. It may have been more enjoyable for someone who did connect to the story in some way!
