The cover is not one I'd usually be drawn to, but the image is beautiful and somehow sad, even without knowing anything about the book itself.
I was immediately drawn in to the characters and I need to know how this story plays out. The writing style is fantastic and I could feel the tension in the family as soon as I began reading. I love books with multiple narrators, twisting story lines, and small-town family drama that seems REAL - so this one checks several boxes for me.
