This book sucked me right in and now I want to keep on reading but can’t! Initially I was confused by all the names and I didn’t notice right away that the first look started on chapter threes I think with just a bit more intro the names wouldn’t be a problem. The storytelling is excellent with just enough foreshadowing and suspense to make you crave one more page over and over. The story is clearly (to me) setting up a romance, but a very emotionally charged done between the returned black sheep and his dead brother’s girlfriend. The story suggests through the usual way that perhaps there is something between them and that previously it may have been the now deceased brother’s relationship that had soured the main character’s former close friendship. So it’s definitely working as on a known variation of romance novel, but the writing is so good I can tell that it’s not going to be one that people will dismiss as just another romance novel.
