This line - How do you define yourself when others have already decided who you are? is the perfect description for this book.

Great And Precious Things is a soul-wrenching journey of self-love and forgiveness. Yarro knows how to create a romantic atmosphere that isn't fantasy and immature when adding the elements of loss and betrayal. It gentles pushes as the characters face the relentless almost impossible wall of past regrets and damages. She has a way to capture the emotional depth the characters are tied too in the small town in Colorado. She organically adds in the road of healing through social, moral, familial, and community themes.

I want to read more of this book. I want it to devour my soul.

At first, I was not sure if the cover captures the essence of the book yet after the three chapters it captures really well. I love the purple tones and the boots. It matches the cover of The Last Letters.
