From the moment I started chapter three of Rebecca Yarros's "Great and Precious Things" I was hooked. The action is subtle but intense. The descriptions vivid. The characters multi-dimensional.
I sense that this will turn into a romance (which isn't my genre of choice to read); however, the way this is written draws me in enough that I really want to know what happens with these characters. In two chapters Yarros has already gotten me to care about the characters and invest in what happens to them.
