This is a contemporary fiction story about family dynamics, trauma, loss, love and the effects of war on those relationships. That said - it is not my cup of tea as it appears to run the standard track of predictability. Guy goes to war with brother, brother gets killed, guy comes home, dad is pissed off and won't forgive, guy is secretly in love with dead brother's girlfriend ... can you see where this is going. Yeah me too. Maybe if the atmosphere was different, some other interesting plot lines appear I might be convinced to finish this story.
