A lot of emotion

I get the impression that this one is going to be a real tearjerker. Right at the start you can feel the weight of a troubled family history. You wonder right away how on earth these people, this family, can have any sort of happy ending. I was intrigued right away by the First Impression.
Not so much by the cover, though. Something about it feels cheesy. I wouldn't have picked it up off a shelf.
