I wasn’t so sure about this book in the first few chapters. Sometimes it would be a little confusing when it was jumping around, then it all started to come together. I was sitting here trying to figure out who was the killer. I thought I knew but then wham something else happens and you are like nope can’t be them. I really like the characters they feel real. I like how Sophie made her voice heard with the tattoo and letting everyone know that Shane would not be forgotten. The thing with the toad was kinda creepy and gross but kind of neat at the same time. This book goes to show you that you don’t really know who you can trust in your life. The people that are close to you maybe someone else behind closed doors.
The author was a new one to me. I feel like the way he made the different characters shows how the world really is today. The different races and sexuality that are throughout the book was great. Will be looking for more books by Peter to read.
