I understand that eventually I will learn the connection between the first chapter vs the following chapters, but with this first look I felt a bit confused. It gave me this vague first chapter about a widowed mom working at this odd job and then jumped into a couple chapters about the a different character. I’m all for switching viewpoints between chapters but I like an alternating storyline rather than several chapters of the same viewpoint with a couple randoms sprinkled in between.
Other than that, the storyline does seem interesting and I would be inclined to continue reading the book. I want to learn about the frog and the boy.
