This one had a very dark opening, but I'm excited to read this one. I love mysteries, although I don't usually gravitate towards the ones that seem more explicitly violent, I do make a few exceptions. The writing style reminded me a bit of S.A. Cosby, one of my favorite authors (and one of the exceptions regarding violence in books).
