I found this book excerpt to be disturbing and unpleasant to read. Right away when Shane left his friends the reader knows something unpleasant will happen to this young man. It’s hard to understand a warped mind that would prey upon another person, especially a young person. Maybe the author’s book will give some insight to this type of person. It’s suspenseful and well written but the type of book that would make me feel stressed.
