This book was a wild ride from start to finish. I wish I could go back in time just so I could re-read the book again for the very first time. I loved the way the author wrote, their prose was absolutely stupendous. I do not normally go for sapphic reads as they just aren’t normally my favorite, but this one may have changed my mind. There was romance, mystery, drama, scandals, everything I look for in a book! While the beginning of the book was a little slow for my taste, that didn’t stop me from devouring each and every page. And when it hit the halfway point and everything seemed to be going absolutely crazy, I began flying through the pages. I loved the leaps from past to present. I think this genre is a bit of a gothic horror with the main character seeing the ghost of her deceased friend, as well as seeing some crazy horrific visions of others as well. Overall spooky as hell!
