I would give this a solid 3.5 stars (7 out of 10). If you're like me and have a pretty surface level understanding of k-pop, don't worry. A very basic knowledge of the culture is helpful, but the story definitely brings you where you need to go.

Considering that this is a YA novel, the horror aspects are pretty spooky. Definitely still appropriate for teens, but probably would not suggest this for very young readers. The descriptive language adds a lot of richness and atmosphere. I think the characters were pretty distinct, but I would have liked to see a bit more depth and/or development. Despite this, many of the topics this book touches on are discussed in a really nuanced and mature way, given the target audience.

The plot definitely got a bit wild and maybe could have done with a little more explanation, but it kept me entertained the whole time.
