The cover is very pretty and eye catching. I really like it and would definitely pick it up from the shelf.
The writing is a bit simplistic but felt well into the YA mystery thriller space. I'm very interested in the plot but the first two chapters didn't give much away in the sapphic sense. The main character Sunday is definitely very classic teenage girl who went through something horrifying with the death of her friend but also walks through the world like she feels so aware and talks a lot about the weight she has gain, etc. She's not quite likable in the first 2 chapters given as a preview but I hope that will change. She's haunted by Mina's ghost who appears in a dance practice and in the first chapter there's a mention of some ritual. So I get the sense that we will have supernatural themes throughout the book as more people die around here. I would keep reading just to better understand what the twist will be.
