This book was thrilling from the 1st page. It had me hooked and I just couldn’t put it down. Our main character is a former member of a girl group. They were American based, K pop inspired. The group had a show of the same name, kind of like a Disney or Nick show and the group performed real shows together and became an actual group. One of the members tragically passed after the group disbands and years later our main character is being haunted by her and in an attempt to figure out what truly happened puts herself back into the cut throat world of k pop idols. She joins this competition of other Asian American girls to battle it out to become the next k pop idol. It was thrilling and fun to read from start to finish. Gorgeous Gruesome Faces is a fast paced thriller full of twists and turns, ghosts from the past, a boat load of trauma, and overall just a fun time.
