From the very beginning, I was curious what these characters have gone through and how they got to where we as the reader meet them. The shift you see in Sunny and Candie’s relationship was a reminder that this is something no matter how you try, sometimes just happens and having Sunny go to the lengths she did to try and reconnect and maybe find the answers she’s waited two years for felt genuine in my opinion. Friendships are so complex and I’m curious how much more depth will be showcased further on in the story.
