Is this going to be the darkest ya k-pop novel that we have ever seen?
I like that this is a k-pop horror ya novel, cover (mixing the horror and glamour), a lot of good threads (sex scandal, horror ritual causes you hit height of beauty in kpop industry, the feud, mina death, messy dynamic of Sunny mom being a part of the entertainment industry)
I am on the fence a bit because I felt disconnected from Minas death. It makes me worry that I will not connect with the horror and suspense part of story. Do I like Sunny so far?
Possibilities: Since this is horror we could get a darker k-pop story than that has been done in ya. The line between homophobia and queer baiting the industry/fans do.
