Oh how I wanted to love this book. I have read her other memoir and really was excited to be able to read this one and review it. I adored her first memoir. I thought Jennifer is a wonderful writer and the memoir was extremely well written. Unfortunately this one fell a bit flat for me.

I walked in hoping this would be just as wonderful as her first. I thought what could be better, I love dogs, all animals, and adding them to the mix would be phenomenal. The writing is still great, really great. My biggest problem was the jumping around in time. I kept getting frustrated and distracted with trying to keep up or remember what was going on in this time frame when she mentioned it before.

To me, the novel felt very disjointed because of the way it was written. It was my biggest complaint. I still enjoyed the content but the writing style of Good Boy made me a bit crazy. Thank you to the publisher and the author for a chance to read and review.
