It seems like books with dog themes are popping up left and right these days, but written as a memoir, this book seems to fall in a different category completely.
Using the lives of 7 dogs, the author tells stories about her life and the transition to who she is today.
The pages were at times difficult to get through, but still Boyan is a lovely storyteller. I would recommend this book to anyone trying to understand how life may be for a person who is transitioning or has transitioned. It was an interesting way to see someone's life, through the dogs they have had and the lessons those animals had to teach.
