Wow - I had not read the full description of this book before starting to read, so what a surprise when the author comes out as trans! Aside from the amazing pun of a title which I now realize belatedly, this book is already beautifully describing the complex ways dogs bear witness to the most important moments of our lives. I would love to continue reading this book, with a box of necessary tissues by my side.
