I thought the writing in the first look was not only really strong and humorous, but also warm and compelling. I would love to read more of this book to go on a journey with Jennifer and discover what she learned from each of her dogs. I wasn't sure I was going to like this excerpt, but it definitely seems like it would be a worthwhile read. I think the dog on the cover is adorable, but the font is awful.
