As I read through the beginning, I too began to relate to both the author's and my life in terms of pet years (I've had encounters with a variety of dogs and cats). I'd never considered before the changes the animals in our lives see us through, either directly or indirectly. She gave me a lot to reminisce on my life journey and contemplate how hers will unfold. Very interested and intrigued!
