This book appears to have what I love most about books dealing with the author's experiences with their dogs, the adoption, antics in the middle and the growing old together. Although I know there will be sad parts (I was in tears just reading the first two pages), reading about the bond that we have with animals and the good that they give us is always an uplifting read for me.
