I like most people. I like most dogs. But I can’t handle people telling me about their dogs. I don’t understand the compulsion, and I definitely don’t want to read books about someone talking about their dog. There’s too much projection of human emotion onto their pets, it comes off as something juvenile, like those Airbud or Beethoven movies.
