Who doesn't love a good book about dogs? They protect us, prop us up when we need a pal, shadow our heels, they become our best friends and children. I found myself getting a little teary reading this first look, and I love that the author used her dogs to chart her path as a transgender woman. I think this has the potential to be a very special book.
